Sports Psychology
Skills training includes an initial assessment to identify target areas and create a tailor-made plan to improve performance.
Sports psychology focuses on the large impact the mind has on the quality of physical performance. Mental training includes increasing focus, recovering concentration after a mistake, managing under pressure, and achieving a balance between thinking and trusting your sensory-motor system.
Skills training includes building confidence, improving focused, learning to trust skills and abilities. We can also work on learning how to NOT be a perfectionist and enjoy your sport or art more! Sessions and workbook activities are used to help clients create and practice mental skills specific to them. In addition, I teach visualization and self-talk to further improve performance.
